The Concept of Nonviolence in Everyday Life of Students: a Focus Group Study

The purpose of this paper is to explore perceptions theoretical foundations nonviolence theory by modern students and their willingness apply ideas everyday life. study problem lies in the fact that, general, scantily explored phenomenon mostly studied context philosophical ethical understanding, ideology, politics. While values individual local application life still remain unexplored. Research design: focus group methodology. In study, method was used as main one for data collection, it gives participants opportunity topic a focused discussion. Also, phenomenological or «lived experience» approach since would allow an exploration understanding opinions student. template included two parts, first part discuss interpret about concept nonviolence, second members share own experiences discussed possibility implementing concepts discussions were audio-recorded transcribed verbatim with permission participants. When notes summarized analyzed, which allowed researchers identify five key topics draw conclusions place role violence students’ daily lives. article shows that conceptual theories, but situations use force necessary. from can be further research aimed at studying forms strategies conflict resolution youth.
